SEO, Web Marketing, PPC Specialist & Account Manager

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

Salary: circa £27k - £35k per annum depending on skill, knowledge and experience

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SEO and Web Marketing professional (ideally with agency experience) to join our established team, based in Northampton.

You should be an organised, methodical, goal seeking and self-motivated individual, with the ability to develop and implement search engine optimisation, social media, content marketing and general online marketing strategies for client websites, including assessing ux and ui and making recommendations as necessary.

Managing probably between 20-30 websites (including ecommerce) for multiple clients in a diverse range of sectors, the ideal candidate will be able to monitor and enhance positioning on a continuous improvement basis, research keywords and competition, demographics, analytics, and also complete statistical analysis, report and article writing as required.

The candidate will work closely with clients and other team members to ensure they are kept up to date with the latest requirements of Google and the other major search engines. You should be competent in communicating strategies and plans effectively to both clients and team colleagues, both in writing and verbally/face to face.

The ideal candidate will be efficient in managing their own workload, able to drive projects forward and contribute to the development of the department and their client's businesses, working as a senior level team member.

This is a key, hands on role, with excellent prospects for the right individual seeking to make an important contribution to this vital and growing area of the business. A good understanding and prior experience in the described fields is essential to the role.


About You:

Skills & Attributes – Required

•    Very good written and verbal English
•    Good professional presentation able to work with senior staff and clients ranging from sole traders to owners and directors of small to medium sized businesses
•    Good knowledge and practical experience of search engine optimisation and managing PPC campaigns


Skills & Attributes – Desirable

You will have a good knowledge of how search engine optimisation works and the respective roles of on-site and off-site content; capable of complex strategies; as well as having previous pay per click campaign setup and management experience (primarily Adwords, but also other platforms ideally). Google Shopping experience will also be useful.  You will also be experienced in using Web Master Tools and Google Analytics - including setting up goals and funnels and using A/B testing methods (Google qualifications are preferred but not required), and also be au fait with other widely used SEO and online marketing tools.

Ideally you will have client facing and account management experience. A background in agency or multi-client environments would also be ideal - so that you will have benefited from cross sector experience as well as broad exposure across all the main internet marketing disciplines including SEO, PPC, CRO, Content and Social Media Marketing.

You will be broad skilled and confident in writing articles and reports when necessary; be competent with Excel spreadsheets; working with and explaining report figures and statistics; highly organised to manage your projects and driven to succeed.

Some basic competency in HTML (this is useful from an SEO point of view); some knowledge of dynamic website programming using PHP / ASP would be advantageous (as you will be working closely with the development team).  You will enjoy a challenge, have a good knowledge of web marketing methods and how search engines work, and you will enjoy achieving successful results for clients.

A requirement of the position is that you will be expected to speak directly with clients and should be able to present your ideas (and the recommended strategies) in a competent and persuasive manor. Therefore you should have a high level of communication ability and enjoy talking with all levels of business persons including owners and directors.
